New Zealand looks to woo Indian tourists

It looks like that Indian tourists are making world tourism richer and bigger industry, that’s why after many European countries now tourism New Zealand is also focusing on Indian tourists. So if you’re planning your next holidays then here is another option.

New Zealand is primarily focusing on the family and honeymoon segments to lure more big spending Indian tourists to its shores. The country which saw about 21,000 Indian tourist arrivals till June 2007, is hoping to boost these numbers by a further 10-15% in 2007-2008.

There are no direct flights between India and New Zealand at the moment, but both the countries have signed air service agreement last year and with Air New Zealand acquiring new carriers by 2010, direct flights should start by then.
