Toyota’s small car coming to you very soon.

If you are planning to buy a small car then you should wait for some time because Toyota is also entering in small car segment. Japanese car major Toyota’s small car plans for India will either involve a brand new car based on its Yaris platform or an Indian specific model developed from scratch.

According to source in the auto industry, the company is still working out its cost feasibility between these to options.

Source also says that Toyota may follow the Innova model for its small car sourcing from specific low cost centers and selling the model in Asia. The small car may also come with both petrol and diesel versions.

Toyota’s Indian subsidiary, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, is likely to announce its small car project before the end of this year. Toyota’s global small car is being designed in Japan.
