Skoda leader in satisfaction
Skoda has been named the best overall sales satisfaction for the first time according to the J.D. Power Asia Pacificx 2007 index study.
According to India times report, Skoda performed well on three counts: delivery process, delivery timing and paperwork. Maruti Suzuki and Mahindra followed Skoda in the rankings, respectively.
But the bad news is that recording a single-point increase over 2006, the overall satisfaction in the industry remains static despite intense competition, and slowing of sales in past four months.
Six of the nine companies ranked in the study, however, recorded improvements compared to 2006, with Ford and Toyota posting the highest improvement since the past year.
The study indicates a change in financing patterns since 2006. While more customers reported receiving cash discounts, fewer customers are taking loans to purchase their car which is only to be expected given the spiralling interest rates.
