India will be the leader in 2009 in Auto sale

According to auto research firm JD Power and Associates, growth in China and India is set to make Asia-Pacific the world’s largest regional market for automobile by 2009.
The region is expected to sell 23 million vehicles by 2009 compare to 22.7 million in Europe.

According to firm, India and china were clearly leading the glob sales growth in 2007. Steadily rising incomes in the region will make vehicle ownership possible for more consumers and we expect China and India to remain the force in future growth, says JD Power.
“Before 2007 ends, vehicle sales in Asia-Pacific are projected to reach 19.3 million units and to account for 28.1% of the global demand. In comparison, the sales in Europe are expected to grow by 3% to reach 21.6 million units, while North America’s are expected to decrease by 0.04% to 19.2 million units,” the company said. Sales in India are expected to reach 1.67 million units in 2007.
