Sania reaches 3rd round in US Open
26th seeded India’s Sania Mirza advanced to 3rd round of US Open by beating USA’s Laura Granville in strait stets of 6-3, 7-5. In next round Mirza will be facing her recent enemy no 1, Russia’s Anna Chakvetadze.
During the 82 min match Mirza blasted six aces and 33 winners over her opponent.
Sania next opponent Chakvetadze is sixth seeded in the tournament and has won four tournaments this year and three of them after beating Mirza.
