Sonia Gandhi 6th most powerful women of the worldPratibha Patil might have become first women President of India but its congress president Sonia Gandhi and chairperson and chief executive of PepsiCo, Indra Nooyi, who leads the Forbes list of 100 most powerful ladies of the world.

Sonia Gandhi has been placed sixth in the list just behind Indra Nooyi who is on 5th place.

The first women Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel have been ranked No 1 for the second year in a row by US business magazine.

Placed above Nooyi and Sonia Gandhi are Chinese Vice Premier Wu Yi at No 2, Ho Ching, chief executive of Temasek Holdings, Singapore’s largest business conglomerate, at No 3 and US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice at No 4.
