JAB WE MET Movie Review
One might found story of JAB WE MET quite similar to one of the worst film of Abhishek and Aishwariya, DHAI AKSHAR PREM KE initially, but as film moves story also moves forward and it easily connect to you.
After SOCHA NA THA Director Imtiaz Ali once again with JAB WE MET proved that if not best but he is certainly one of the best storytellers in Bollywood.
JAB WE MET is story of two young hearts who meets is very unusual situation and their love story also develops in those conditions.
Aditya (Shahid Kapur), an industrialist, is heartbroken as he drifts out of the gathering and aimlessly boards a train, bounding away into the night.
He meets Geet (Kareena Kapoor) talkative girl who is leaving Mumbai to go her hometown – Bhatinda, to be with her love.
Geet irritates Aditya to the point of getting him to leave the train. As she tries to get him back on the train, she ends up missing it and the two find themselves stranded on a desolate station with no luggage or money.
On arrival, Geet’s family mistakes the two for lovers. Before this misconception can be cleared, Geet escapes to her boyfriend in Manali. Life takes a positive turn and Aditya begins to do well. One day, Geet’s family, who think that she is with him, confronts Aditya. He is shocked to learn that Geet has not returned home. He takes it upon himself to find her.
He finally tracks her down in a Himalayan town and begins another journey to reach Bhatinda and flow into the colors and conceptions of a loud and happy North Indian family. How their separate journeys become one, forms the remainder of the story.
The best point of the movie is its story flow which is evenly matched by good performances.
Shahid has given his best performance in this movie and Kareena too has proved that slowly but surely she is on the path of Karishma Kapoor.
Another thing which makes movie more watchable is the music of Pritam and equally good is the picturisation of songs.
On the whole, JAB WE MET is one of the finest romantic films Bollywood in 2007.

Jab We Met Review
First of all the movie should be called Jab met met again..and again..and again..
Jab we met has nothing great to offer. People! dont come looking for another Dil hain ki maanta nahin ( which was one love story of its kind!)
This has a simple story
boy meets girl
confusion and 2 lost people
and m0re confusion and more lost people to follow…
with ( of course) a happy ending..what do you expect..its good old bollywood..
Kareena is good despite a few moments of overacting that are so like her. Shahid is wasted ( watch VIVAH if you really want to see him act!). The music is average, and I dont know whats so great about mauja hi mauja. I personally like that one..ye ishq haayee.
Imtiaz ali is brave..but people should get better with time and experience, and this movie cannot be compared to his first one SOCHA NA THA because that one was more fun, and entertaining.
Jab we met..is worth a watch if you are bored, and want to escape for 3 hours to destress. Dont go out of your way to watch it, and MOST CERTAINLY DONT spend 10 $ in a move theatre for it! ( thats what I did)
