
BJP to form Govt in Karnataka after JDS takes U turn
In a sudden development, the JDS on Saturday decided to extend support to its estranged coalition partner BJP to form another government in Karnataka to foil the Congress bid to install its ministry.
“We have decided to submit our letter of support to the Governor Rameshwar Thakur today to facilitated formation of a BJP-led coalition government,” former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy said here even as JDS senior leader M P Prakash is at Delhi to continue his parleys with the Congress on formation of government.
A decision to revive its strained relations with the BJP was taken in the backdrop of the Congress plunging into action to split the JDS and to form its government, he said.
On a day of hectic political activity, JDS spokesman Y S V Datta called on former deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa of BJP to communicate his party’s decision to extend support to the BJP led ministry.
