Sawariya is another example of HYPED out bollywood movie, Sanjay Bhansali who claimed movie to be his best ever, failed people’s expectation massively, Movie looks very confusing and dull, Over dosed by Sanjays bansalis imagination, Expensive unreal sets and worthless experiments, movie is almost the repeat of Hum dil de chuke sanam,more like a old wine in new bottle formula, both the newbies, Ranbir and Sonam have given okay performance and can be promising, Salman Khan appears only for less than 8 mins.

i think three points if avoided so this film could have been a huge hit..
1) too many songs could have been avoided.
2) film could have been shooted in a natural envoirment… rather than that black blue artificial set.
3) the ending… i guess whn we r watching a film.. we r in a different world…and every person should go out of the theatre with a happy ending… this film lacks that happy ending.. when SLB in devdas can use his own idea and change the actual story a lil bit.. so he could have even change the ending of this one and made it a happy ending story…

Congratulations Sanjay. You have created a genre in the India cinema. Please do not be disappointed by the reviews. I am hopeful your producers have deep enough pcokets to augur their launch with this masterpiece.
Needless to say it is a flawless movie. It is scary how can a director have such an impeccable, vivid and varied visulisation power. It is super-human.The acting by even a single act or no-act junior artist is amazing (quiet like Omkara). The lead pair is amazing in the way they have performed. Ranbir if put in a different situation and direction may have appeared cliched. It is amazing how Sanjay could make him gel with the mileu. Sonam speaks with her eyes, actions, attire- truly a class act. Even Zohra Sehgal is 100 times better than her Cheeni Kum act. Conragtulations again Sanjay. Infact it was my benchmark on how well the actors performed in Saawaria.
Dear Anil Kapoor/ Rishi & Neetu, your children have greater potential than you all put together. Please advice them to take only good projects such as these.
Music was much better than its promos. Gelled well with the story and situations. It is first time an Eid situation elicited joy for me. A visual treat. Do not listen to the critics who say the song should not have been there. If Muslim part of the population is shown in such positve light it will do a great bit for the national integration. You may not have realised, but that is something it did for me.
Sets of course even the gravest crtique had good things to say about. You needed a wonderland and ditto it was. I was thinking, is it Vienna or Venice or Istanbul or Mumbai or Amsterdam or Alice’s wonderland.
I hope God gives courage to the producers to back such landmarks. I know you will always do your mind.

This movie is a must watch for people who have a heart which can feel love and who dream and live life each moment.

WORST MOVIE EVER!! PLEASE DONT WATCH!!This is by and far the worst movie I have seen in ages. I want to say that this is SLB’s worst film but honestly it is one of the worst films of Indian Cinema. Guyz, please please please dont waste your time and money on this film. I stood in line for an hour to get tickets, then another hour to get into the cinema hall and after all that trouble, I was all set to leave the hall an hour into the movie….YES IT IS THAT PATHETIC!! I wouldnt sit through this movie if anybody paid me to.
FYI I am a huge Sanjay Leela Bhansali fan, I loved Hum dil de chuke and Black…but after seeing this movie I think he should look for an alternate profession, he has lost it completely, he needs help.
My sympathies with ranbir and sonam, they thought they were working with the best film maker, little did they know that he would make such a crappy movie.

Amazing movie. A fresh breath of air. Let us face it, this movie people will either adore or hate. There can be no middle path. It is all about the extreme passion for your kind of cinema!
On the film, it takes you through all the emotions. It is amusing without the usual jokes but excellent situations e.g. one is amused about the kind of safety pin that can tie a young daughter to keep her home. Bhansali delivers one in the movie that can do it and perhaps the most beautiful safety pin in the world.
or the excellently executed underline-humor filled dialogues between Ranbir-Gulabji, Ranbir and so perfect Lilypop (all credit to the Dialogue/Screenplay writer besides SLB) .
SLB even if 1% of India likes your movie you are home. 1 crore people spend Rs. 60, there comes in Rs. 60 crores. Rest would come from who saw it and did not like it and internationally.
The future generations ( 30 years later :)) would not make a spoof out of you. For Sure. Sony please keep on supporting pathbreaking projects.

I watched Sawariya and found the film to be excellent. If you have not understood the film say you did not , dont say the film is bad. It was beautiful to watch, great sets, the acting by both the newcomers was good, Rani Mukherji did a fabulous job, Salman had a small but apt role. The music was awesome. It was as if a poem was being recited on screen, reminded me of a beautiful dreamy English peom.
SLB movies are brilliant and a piece of art, definitely not for masses who take interest in crap/meaningless movies like OSO.

Commoner’s Comment: The movie is dark with the film having blue shades throughout.
My reply: Pay attention in the movie hall and keep your mouth shut when the movie is playing. If you had watched the story without yapping with your friends you could have noticed that this is a story of 2 characters that meet only during night hours, there is not a single shot in the movie which has day time in it. Obviously the movie has blue shade throughout. It still looked beautiful.
Commoner’s Comment: There were too many songs.
My Reply: You are a hypocrite. The music review of Sawariya is great, so what problem do you have sitting there and listening to melodious songs. I am sure you wont have any problem listening to crap lyrics like dard-e-disco (you really have a bad ear and taste).

My Reply: My dear friend, what was in the story that you did not like?? This story was adapted from Fyodor Dostoevsky-White Nights, a highly acclaimed story, who are you to give bad reviews about it. Conclusion: Keep an open mind, all movies need not be the same with a hero and his silly heroine dancing away to senseless songs, this movie is different and may not appeal to all but it is definitely not a bad film……kudos to SLB …he is a genius.

Recently i watched two movies - i really cant compare which one is worse - i am talking abt No smoking and Saawariya.
Talking abt saawariya - God help those who watch it. I had to forcefully watch this movie because of my wife and by the middle of the movie we were both asleep. I woke up today morning and switched off the computer now. God its terrible. DO NOT WATCH IT even if you dont have anything to do
Also my point of view is that we should start banning these movies made by sons and daughters of actors - due to them the people who really have talents do not get a chance. And more over Ranbeer (not sure if i spelled it right) is a lifetime joker, a comedian. God he movie was irritating…

This is the most horrible movie for this yr.. i think bansali just got his expectations and stuff way down… the movie looks like it shot at night… the actors i think they would have acted good but bansali made them look crazy… the girl all her job is to cry and laugh then cry then laugh. and the set looks so like a set it doesn’t even look real at all.. plus i thought india was the 21st century so why he made a movie that like 100 yrs old those things used to happen long long long time back.. why would u repeat things that happend ages ago over and over ago???
