Punjabi are more tele-savvy than others
From agriculture to mobile, it seems that Punjabi’s are really well connected. Latest figures show that the state, in the midst of T-revolution, has a tele-density of around 46%, more than double the national average of 20%. While one out of every five Indians has a telephone nationally, the figure here goes up to almost one out of two people.

Beauty market now to cash men
With an increasing number of men thronging saloons for variety of beauty treatments such as manicures, pedicures and getting facials among other beauty enhancing techniques, cosmetic companies are now targeting the ‘untapped’ market for their products, men.
“We started out because as per our research, there was indeed a great demand for male fairness cream. The market share of our cream is about 20 per cent. Since, the overall fairness cream market is about Rs 275 crore, it means that a large amount of men are still using the fairness cream meant for girls,” says Mohan Goenka, Director, Emami Group, who were the first to launch an exclusive fairness cream for men.

Fashion industry can not sustain too many designers, feels Neeta Lula
Renowned fashion designer Neeta Lulla ( known for her designing Abhishek – Ashwariya wedding cloths and designing for Shilpa Shetty’s Big brother show ) feels that every fashion designing student in India feels that he/ she will be a designer some day but the fact is fashion industry in India can not sustain too many designers.
According to Lulla “ There are other allied fields that require technical help to support the industry for it to grow to a qualitative levels like Paris and Milan and this is something we fail to take note.”
Lulla feels that the biggest challenge is to dress up film stars because they know that they are trend setters and that’s why stars have become more careful about what they show on the screen.
